Something I have never really quite understood. How can people say that we as Christians are infringing on their right for religious freedom when they can turn around and say that they do not want God anywhere in the judicial system, in our schools, in city buildings or anywhere they go. Isn't that an infringement on my rights for religious freedom? Don't I have the right to see God everywhere I look? Don't I have the right to go to a public park and watch a christian concert without someone saying, "Hey you can't listen to that music?"
Does everyone remember that saying, "Can't we all just get along?" Here is the way that I see it. God loves you. He's trying to reach out to you in any way shape or form, but, I respect the fact that you don't want to hear it. That you don't want to know about God's love. I respect that because I know that God is going to reach out and try to make himself known in any way shape or form that He can. So I am not going to sit here and bash you and your beliefs. I'm not going to call you a fool, or other names. I'm not going to label you a sinner (mostly because we all sin). Why? Because I respect you. Can you not respect me?
I'm not saying that you have to agree with everything that I say and believe what I believe, because I believe that God will get a hold of your heart one day. But again I say why do you try to push your beliefs on me? You yell out that God's not real. That my beliefs are dumb and not worth anything. That there are 'holes in the story'. You want to take down the name of my God from everywhere that I go. You want to separate me from years and generations that have sought Gods justice, help and wisdom. In other words you want to shut me up and shut me down. So tell me now. Who is infringing on who's religious rights?
I'm telling you my God cannot be contained in a building. Why you ask? Because God does not reside in a church building. He resides inside of me. He is a light inside that shines where ever I go. He cannot be left in church where you can't hear Him because I do not just sit in a church building 24/7 and I carry Him everywhere I go in my heart.
I'm not an idle person that allows people to walk over me when it comes to my beliefs in God, but I do not fight people and sit in an argument with someone who doesn't believe the same as me. At the end of the day no one wins an argument. I will say that although, I will defend my beliefs, my God is bigger than I and He doesn't need me to defend Him or His word. I love my God with all that is in me and He asks me to love everyone, even those that bash me and my beliefs. So I am not going to sit here and say mean things to you and call you a liar. I'm not going to label you as 'one of those people'. I am going to love you.
So to those of you who are infringing on my religious freedom, I love you.
